Nicholsons core business for almost thirty years
has been the cultivation and care of native British
trees and the creation and management of traditional
woodland.
Nicholsons
assures a professional and efficient service,
and our Forestry division is built on a team of
highly qualified and experienced graduate Foresters
and Arboriculturalists. Senior staff are members

Caring for existing and long-established trees
is all part of the service. At Nicholsons we are
able to carry out all levels of tree maintenance
and arboricultural operations including Duty of
Care tree inspections, individual tree reports,
pruning, crown thinning, crown reduction, felling
and stump grinding.
Correct
management is essential to the effective ownership
of woodland, whether for maximising timber production
or for the conservation of wildlife and the environment.
Nicholsons has considerable experience in the
management of woods and forests and can also offer
advice on grant applications.
We offer a full contracting service relating to
the planting and management of woodlands, trees
and hedges. Nicholsons not only propagates a wide
variety of traditional tree and hedgerow species,
but also has the ability to prepare the land,
plant and maintain the trees or hedgerow to ensure
satisfactory establishment. Similarly, Nicholsons
erects many different types of fence, including
traditional post and rail, deer/stock fencing,
gates, and top-quality cast-iron and steel.
Nicholsons
operates mainly in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire,
Warwickshire, Berkshire, Gloucestershire and other
surrounding counties, but has on occasion undertaken
commissions outside the immediate area, including
Northern Ireland and France.
